Site surveys, designs and install records are real-world data buyers want.
Solar installers capture a full project trail: site surveys, shade studies, designs, permits, install photos and service history. We help you license the records you own, keep homeowners protected and keep ownership.
What qualifies, and what stays out
We sort this out on the first call, before anything is offered to a buyer.
Usually qualifies
- Site surveys, roof assessments and shade studies
- System designs and proposals your team produced
- Permitting and interconnection process records, de-identified
- Install and commissioning photos with addresses and people removed
- Service tickets and production history you own, aggregated or de-identified
- Sales training, SOPs and installer checklists
Stays out
- Homeowner names, addresses and contact details
- Loan, lease and credit applications and financing records
- Utility account numbers and customer bills
- Monitoring data owned by the homeowner or a financing partner
- Software output or datasets whose license forbids sharing
Financing and utility data are the most sensitive records in a solar file. They stay out, and the engineering and install history is still valuable.
How your customers stay protected
Homeowners removed
Names, addresses, utility account numbers and financing details are removed or the record is left out.
Ownership checked
Production and monitoring data is offered only where your contracts say it is yours to license.
Photos cleaned
House numbers, faces and vehicles are blurred, or the photo stays out. You approve a sample first.
You stay in control the whole way
- You keep ownership. A license lets a buyer use a copy for a defined purpose.
- We prefer non-exclusive licenses, so you can license the same records again later.
- We collect competing bids from several buyers so you are not taking one cold offer.
- Records go straight from you to the buyer. Utah Data Partners never holds your files.
- Our fee is paid by you as the client and disclosed in writing before you sign anything. Ask us how it works.
